Context poisoning via the compaction pipeline. Claude Code manages context pressure through a four-stage cascade. MCP tool results are never microcompacted. Read tool results skip budgeting entirely. The autocompact prompt instructs the model to preserve all user messages that are not tool results. A poisoned instruction in a cloned repository's CLAUDE.md file can survive compaction, get laundered through summarization, and emerge as what the model treats as a genuine user directive.
